James Sanborn Bass Player.
Picked up his first bass at 14 years old. Found a passion for playing by listening to Rock /Metal bands of the late 80s and early 90s. Started playing with other musicians he friended in school. By the time he was 16, he was inviting his friends to listen to the project he was in with small house parties. He played his first professional gig at the age of 17.
Since his start at playing professionally. He has played with various artists around Southeastern New England. He was signed to MDI records out of the south Plymouth area by the time he was 19 years old, playing in his first professional original progressive metal band named ‘Deviation’. During his time with Deviation, he was able to broaden his musical interests and skill using different time signatures and key changes with the direction of band composers Eric Gunnerson and Tony Bonelli.
After his time with Deviation, he has played with other local artists but contributes most of his music theory knowledge from the teachings of Shawn Needham, a now jazz composer who resides in Indiana and is well known in the Midwestern Jazz scene. Shawn introduced James to a wide variety of different music. From this, James developed a strong appreciation to other artists such as Jaco Pastorius, Stanley Clarke, Victor Wooten, Billy Sheehan, Marcus Miller and Tony Levin just to name a few.
James is always willing to join in a musical venture and holds the philosophy that “you get better with the more people you jam with, you can never stop learning and there’s always something you can gain from the people you meet!”
Feel free to add or subtract whatever you want. I hope this is enough for what you need. Thanks again for everything!

Lori Lala Lawson
Percussions/vocals
Lori has always been around music. She bought her first guitar
at the age of 16, is self-taught and put music to her poetry.
Her father played the trumpet and piano. Her brother was in a
rock and roll band and her Mom was a singer. Lori wanted to
play the drums when she was in grade school and was denied
because she was girl so, she took up tap dancing which opened
the door to musical theatre. Music is Lala's happy place. In fact,
she married her Music Man.
